Forearm and Hand

The hand is capable of some of the most complex movements and mechanical functions in the human body. The muscles that power these the major movements on the hand are located further up the limb in the forearm and the functions are transmitted to the hand and fingers via Tendons.

These tendonds have to travel to their destination, along with blood vessels and nerves through a passage way in the wrist called the Carpel Tunnel. We use our hands all the time, at work, on the computer, in sport, and over time, due to extended and sometimes overuse, the resulting trauma causes tightening, thickening, and and shortening of the soft tissue in the forearm and wrist. This is the cause of pain from muscle tightness.
