Squatting

Squating is familiar to all of us, although not all of us can do it comforably. If you can do it comfortably it is one of the best composite stretches you can benefit from from. If not, you can learn to take baby steps towards doing a complete squat comforably.

The ideal squat is with your feet flat on the foor, your upper leg and glutius resting on the lower leg, and your chest in contact with the front upper leg. And as always ensure that you can relax and breath comfortably for a reasonable time. Ideally you should be able to do this for at least a few minutes.

If you cannot easily balance yourself in this position, you could squat with your back agaisnt a wall until your balance improves. You could also use a table leg or other stable structure to help your balance.

This stretch is excellent for the the mid and low back,, legs and ankle. With slight adjustments different muscle groups can be addressed. Advanced subjects like this will be addressed at www.healingStretches.com
